On Tuesday, September 23, 2008, ABLE Inc. held the groundbreaking for the addition onto the La Crescent, MN Intermediate Care Facility.  This addition will be a great asset to help serve the individuals who are part of this higher level living facility.

As the 2009 campaign gets underway for the Great Rivers United Way, Wieser Brothers has chosen to be a 'Pace Setter' company to get the ball rolling.  Contributing to the many greatful programs in the tri-state area, Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc. has raised $4,134.00 to contribute to the Great Rivers United Way goal of $2 Million Dollars.  Pick up a pledge form and help positively affect an increasing number of people in our surrounding communities.

145,488 square feet of concrete was poured at the Chippewa Calfs project.  Concrete specifications are as shown in the picture below:

Pit #1 (far right) - One slab was 17,280 square feet and the other was 20,736 square feet, totaling 38,016 square feet consisting of 804 yards of concrete.

Pit #2 (middle) -  41,472 square feet consisting of 880 yards of concrete.

Pit #3 (far left) -    66,600 square feet consisting of 1,240 yards of concrete.

From Flames to Fireworks!!  Wieser Brothers wants to congratulate Houghton's Fine Food & Dining on their new building and wish them continued success as they strive to satisfy their many customers. 

Since the flames broke out on the morning of March 15, 2007, the community has been anticipating the re-opening of the local bar/restaurant.  After months of planning and construction, the bar was able to re-open on April 30, 2008, and the restaurant able to re-open on July 7, 2008.  Houghton's is located at their previous location, on the corner of 10th and Jackson Street in La Crosse, WI.  Lunch is served daily at 11 A.M. Monday - Saturday and dinner is served daily at 4:00 P.M. Monday - Saturday.  With the ability to serve more people, this new building is a remarkable way to start their next 20 years of fine food and dining.

On Wednesday July 30th, 2008, Altra Federal Credit Union held their groundbreaking at their new location in Holmen, WI.  This new 5,595 sq. ft. facility will be located at the intersection of Holmen Drive and Hale Road, just North of Pizza Corral.  With the anticipated completion date of April 1, 2009, Altra Federal Credit Union is looking to further serve this growing Holmen community.
