As the 2011 campaign gets underway for the Great Rivers United Way, Wieser Brothers has chosen to be a 'Pace Setter' company for the 3rd year in a row to get the ball rolling.  Contributing to the many greatful programs in the tri-state area, Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc. will contribute thousands of dollars in efforts to meet the overall goal of $2 Million Dollars. 

Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc. was a proud sponor of the United Way Day of Caring.  It was a day for the pace setter companies to individually volunteer their time for an organization in need.

Congratulations to Gundersen Lutheran for their recent LEED Silver dedication for the Gundersen Lutheran La Crescent Clinic.  To achieve LEED Silver certification, many green building techniques were used in the construction process, including:

• White concrete paving.
• White membrane roof.
• Rain gardens and native landscaping.
• On-site storm water retention.
• Green tinted windows.
• Energy efficient lighting and controls.
• Energy efficient HVAC systems and controls.
• Materials and products that are durable, nontoxic and easily recycled.
• 50% of building products are specified to be manufactured within 500 miles of the project.

A LEED Silver dedication ceremony was held at Gundersen Lutheran La Crescent Clinic on Monday, July 19th, 2010, where they recieved the official LEED plaque.  Wieser Brothers was proud to be the General Contractor on this building project and look forward to more projects with Gundersen Lutheran in the future.

Wieser Brothers' participation continues with the Great Rivers United Way as a pace setter company.  Join us on July 24th 11am - 6pm at Festival in La Crosse for the LIVE UNITED Carnival.  There will be games, prizes, food and a celebrity dunk tank featuring Brian Wieser from 3:30PM - 4:00PM.

Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc. joined Morrow Memorial Home and Community Living Solutions in breaking ground for the new Morrow Memorial Home building addition.  The groundbreaking was held onsite in Sparta, Wisconsin on Friday, April 16th, 2010. 

Scheduled to start April 19th, 2010, this 4.6 million dollar project is estimated to take eight months; and in operation by January 1st, 2011.  Wieser Brothers is excited and honored to start this project and look forward to seeing the finished product.

As past of our continued efforts in keeping our jobsites safe, Wieser Brothers held our annual safey day meeting/training on Friday, March 5th, 2010.  Because safety is a top priority at Wieser Brothers, it is important that we take a day away from the jobsites to refresh and train our employees on new and old safety techniques.  The training topics included: CPR Re-Certification, Fire Extinguisher Training, Asbestos Training, Powder Actuated Tools Certification, Fall Protection Inspection, and much more.  A special thank you goes out to all of our guest trainers who participated in this years event.
